Function: Chef de Cuisine

For our restaurant in the heart of Ghent, we are looking for an enthusiastic collaborator to manage our kitchen team. We are looking for a hard worker with passion for the kitchen. Our restaurant has been established in the city since 1952 and we plan to add many more years to it! Our young team consists of enthusiastic people who value loyalty, team spirit, fun, honesty and cleanliness.

Job Description:

Thanks to your efforts, together with the kitchen team, you will prepare all meals without stress. You manage the team, provide the guidance they need and you do this with respect for your colleagues and passion for the dishes. You watch over the quality, safety and freshness of all products with HACCP standards as your bible and have knowledge of allergens. You make sure the dishes that leave our kitchen are done to perfection.

You are a leader who can motivate, inspire and raise a team above themselves without raising your voice volume to do so. The working language in our kitchen is English as our team is a nice mix of people from all over the world.

You are our Chef de Cuisine if:

  • You have at least 2 years of experience as sous-chef or chef tournant
  • You are very energetic and like to roll up your sleeves
  • You do what you promise, a deal is a deal is your motto!
  • You like variety, because no service is the same with us
  • You can make schedules and plans for your team
  • You can teach people, guide them and simplify matters
  • You live in the region of Ghent or nearby

Kitchen help (permanent)

Full-time, permanent contract for a job in a vibrant restaurant in the heart of Ghent.
You will join a close-knit team of spontaneous, sociable and hardworking colleagues.
You will also have Sundays and Mondays off.

Job description:
